MOVEMENT AS ART
This section feels like a time capsule; roughly 15 years of chasing the perfect moment where bodies become art.
In my early years behind the camera, one of the main things I was completely captivated by was movement. Maybe it was because Tae Kwon Do training was such a huge part of my life, where I spent countless hours studying how bodies move through space. As both a martial artist and an artist, it felt natural that these two worlds would eventually collide.
I became obsessed with the idea that movement is art, because it absolutely is. I was surrounded by incredibly talented athletes who could make their bodies do impossible things, and there was something magical about freezing those split-second moments of grace, power, and precision.
There's this incredible rush when you nail the timing on a tricky flip or kick, not just for me behind the lens but for the athlete too. Watching someone see themselves captured mid-flight, seeing their own strength and beauty frozen in time... that mutual excitement never gets old.
These are just a handful of images that represent years of learning to anticipate, to breathe with the rhythm of movement, to embrace playfulness as much as possible, and to find the extraordinary in bodies doing what they do best.
